GENERAL BRAXTON BRAGG AND THE 1862 INVASION OF KENTUCKY: A FIELD TOUR

Coming in the Spring of 2017:

For the first time in more than six years, Witnessing History will return to Kentucky for an in-depth field tour of General Braxton Bragg’s invasion of the State in the early Fall of 1862.

Headquartered in Lexington, the tour will follow Bragg and his army to Munfordville for a walking tour of the Battle for the Bridge, then to Bardstown, and the Old Capitol in Frankfort.  The tour will then proceed to Perryville for an in-depth walking tour of the bloody engagement there.  The tour will end on Bragg’s line of retreat to Cumberland Gap.  Lunches are being planned at the Old Talbot Tavern in historic Bardstown and at the famous Beaumont Inn in Harrodsburg.
